Drones for hazard response with the University of Maine at Augusta and the Parrot ANAFI USA

Parrot ANAFI USA x UMA

The University of Maine at Augusta in the US provided help by loaning a Parrot ANAFI USA to the Brunswick Airport, after approximately 5,500 liters (1,450 gal) of firefighting foam, containing hazardous PFAS also called “forever chemicals”, leaked in the sewer systems.

The ANAFI USA's powerful 32x zoom helped with monitoring the environment from the air, searching for evidence of foam and providing important information about its possible spread in nearby waterways.
