Civil drones have developed rapidly. In 2012, the DGAC set up a regulatory framework to ensure that these devices are operated safely when used professionally.

In this section, the Parrot team has put together the official regulations for professional drones in order to make them easier to use and fly with confidence!

  • Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal must be used according to the civil aviation regulations in your country.

  • The flight locations must be compatible with the movements of the drone and must not endanger people, animals and property in the vicinity at any time.

  • Always make sure that you have a permit before using your Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal in public places such as railway stations or airports because it is strictly forbidden to fly around such locations. The same applies to public roads. Refer to the regulations that apply to you in your country.

  • As the pilot, you must maintain visual contact with your Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal at all times, and be able to control its trajectory.

  • Before flying your Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal, ask about any restrictions on the use of Wi-Fi frequencies at the flying location as the latter may be restricted or banned altogether.

  • Remember that it is forbidden to record and distribute the image of a property without the authorization of its owner and any third party that has intellectual property rights in relation to the property: this can constitute a violation of the property's image rights for which you may be liable.

Flight conditions

  • Do not fly Parrot Bebop-Pro Thermal at night. What's more, check the weather conditions. Do not fly in the rain, snow or fog.

  • Do not fly over water.
