The Parrot Zik is revealing your emotions. It merges with the body, like a technological extension of you to listen to music.
“slick, well round sound”
“Protects, isolates and immerses me in the depth of my sound, I love it...!”
CEO & Creative Director, SONIA RYKIEL
Adjustable, the headband plays the contrast between metals'
alloy and “leather-like” band.
“Despite its simple and humble design, Zik is certainly today one of our most successful products in terms of intuitive ergonomics”
At Parrot we’ve developed new headphones using ground- breaking technology to create a truly immersive sound. The Zik are designed around a powerful processor that spatializes sound and recreates the acoustics of a concert hall. Three months ago, I asked Lou Reed for his opinion. He told me that the headphones were well tuned for classical music but not for rock. And he told me he could help.
So on September 30th, 2013, I travelled to his studio in New York; it would be the last time I would see him. Working alongside his experienced sound engineer as well as Parrot Zik’s acoustic designers, Lou Reed used his personal mastering studio to program the Zik as if he were adjusting the balance for one of his own performances. You can now experience the extraordinary results by using a special control on the Parrot Audio Suite app for iPhone® or Android™. Thank you Lou.

To insulate you from external noise, Parrot has developed an ultra-high performance active noise cancellation system which eliminates up to 98% of ambient noise.
While traditional ANC audio headsets only use two microphones to analyse ambient noises, the Zik has four microphones (1, 2, 3, 4) located inside and outside each earpiece offering total listening comfort.
Two microphones located inside the headset capture the surrounding noise. Two additional microphones, one in each earpiece, analyse the residual noise (low frequencies) that could disrupt listening.
The outside noise is then cancelled out by opposing sound waves (anti-noise) in order to create a quieter environment.
To ensure music is heard in all its harmony and depth, Parrot took particular care with Zik’s audio playback. The headset is equipped with powerful DSP (Digital Sound Processor) algorithms which reconstructs the sound, giving you the impression that the music is coming from in front of you; this is the “Parrot Concert Hall” effect.
In order to configure the “Parrot Concert Hall” effect, simply download the free Parrot Audio Suite application for iOS, Windows phone 8 or Android.
“They're pretty good for noisy New-York”
Parrot ZIK is fitted with an ultra-intuitive touch control panel on the right headphone: when connected via Bluetooth, slide your finger vertically to adjust the volume and horizontally to skip to the next track.
Parrot has developed a complete movement recognition algorithm designed to be simple and intuitive for the user.
Sliding your finger vertically on the touch sensitive control panel adjusts the volume of your music or the caller voice.
The Parametric EQ is a 7 bands equalizer (Center frequencies are: 60 Hz, 150 Hz, 400 Hz, 1 kHz, 2.4 kHz, 6 kHz and 15 kHz).
The user can choose from among the various presets (Flat, Pop, Club, Punchy, Deep, Crystal, User) to adjust the frequencies to the style of music you are listening to.
Sliding your finger horizontally on the touch sensitive control panel plays the next track or return to the previous one.
Parrot AUDIO SUITE allows the end-user to easily configure and modify the configuration and parameters through the iPhone/iPod/Smartphone user-interface.
