Downloading the update files
As the Parrot Software Update Tool is only available for Windows, Mac users have the possibility to download the update files directly for the following products: Parrot MKi9200, Parrot MKi9100, Parrot MKi9000, Parrot RKi8400, Parrot MINIKIT Slim and Parrot Grande Specchio.
Warning : You may lose several features if you change the language of your MKi product.

MKi software updates are performed using a USB flash drive.
| Downloading the update file |
- Plug your USB drive into your Computer.
- Create a new folder in the root of your USB drive.
- Rename this folder as ParrotUp.
- Press and hold the Alt button then click on your flag. Cut the downloaded file from the Download folder and paste it into the ParrotUp folder.
- Rename the downloaded file as MKi9200.plf.
> You should now have in the root of your USB flash drive (for instance) :
/ParrotUp/MKi9200.plf.
> You can now get in your vehicle to install the update file.

- Start your Parrot MKi and select Settings > Advanced settings > Update.
> The Parrot MKi prompts "Waiting for Update".
- Use the music cable to plug the USB flash drive.
> The Parrot MKi prompts "Starting Update".
- Wait for 2 to 3 minutes. At the end of the update process, "Update successful" should be displayed or prompted.
- Wait until the Parrot MKi restarts.
> To make sure the software update is correctly installed, select Settings > Advanced settings > Information.

Parrot MINIKIT Smart - Available languages
Warning : Make sure you rename the update file and place it into a "ParrotUp" folder. Refer to the update procedure below for more information.

MINIKIT Smart software updates are performed using a USB flash drive.
Note : Make sure your USB flash drive is formatted as FAT32. The update file will not be detected if the USB flash drive is formatted as NTFS.

- Plug your USB drive into your computer.
- Create a new folder in the root of your USB drive.
- Rename this folder as ParrotUp. Make sure you respect the case (upper case / lower case).
- Press and hold the Alt button then click on your flag. Cut the downloaded file from the Download folder and paste it into the ParrotUp folder.
- Rename the downloaded file as MINIKIT_Smart.plf.
Make sure you respect the case (upper case / lower case).
> You should now have in the root of your USB flash drive (for instance) :
/ParrotUp/MINIKIT_Smart.plf.
> You can now get in your vehicle to install the update file.

- Start your MINIKIT Smart and connect it to the cigar-lighter.
Warning : The update file can only be installed if the MINIKIT Smart is being charged.
- On the Parrot MINIKIT Smart, select Update.
>The MINIKIT Smart prompts "Waiting for update".
- Plug your USB flash drive into the MINIKIT Smart.
> The Parrot MINIKIT Smart prompts "Starting update".
- Wait until the MINIKIT Smart restarts. At the end of the update process,
"Update successful" should be prompted.

Parrot Minikit Slim - Available languages

Consult the update procedure
From the 1.16 version you have the possibility to update the Minikit Slim via Bluetooth. This allows Mac users to perform the
software update. The Minikit Slim software update process takes 7-8 minutes.

- Click on your flag to download the update file.
- Select Update software by Bluetooth on the Minikit Slim.
- Click on the Bluetooth icon on the menu bar and select Browse device.
> The Browse device window is displayed.
- Select the Parrot Minikit Slim then click on Browse.
- Drag and drop the previously downloaded update file.
> The file transfer begins.
> At the end of the transfer, the update starts automatically. Wait until the end of the update process (~1mn).

Note : Updating the Minikit Slim software via Bluetooth will not allow you to change the device language.
Update the Minikit Slim via USB to do so.
