Software updates
To enhance your experience and to confirm compatibility with the phones we list on our website, make sure you have one of the latest
available
software on your Parrot product. Check the release notes for your particular device and update the software if you see that
the new version enhances your phone’s
performances
with the Parrot product.
If you encounter a problem with your Parrot product, make sure you have the latest software update before contacting technical support.

- Download Parrot Software Update Tool.
- Extract the downloaded file then double-click on
Setup.exe.
- Follow the displayed instructions to install the software on your PC.
> You can now update your Parrot device.

|
|
|
MKi software updates are performed using a USB flash drive.

Downloading the update file |
- Plug your USB drive into your PC.
- Create a new folder in the root of your USB drive.
- Rename this folder as ParrotUp.
- Click on your product below to download the corresponding update file and save the downloaded file in the ParrotUp folder.

Note : To download the mexican (spanish) version of your Parrot MKi, refer to the corresponding support web page. |

- Rename the downloaded file as MKi9000.plf, MKi9100.plf or MKi9200.plf depending on the product you wish to update.
> You should now have in the root of your USB flash drive (for instance) :
F:/ParrotUp/MKi9100.plf.
> You can now get in your vehicle to install the update file.

Installing the
update file |
- Start your Parrot MKi and select Settings > Advanced settings > Update.
> The Parrot MKi prompts "Waiting for Update".
- Use the music cable to plug the USB flash drive.
> The Parrot MKi prompts "Starting Update".
- Wait for 2 to 3 minutes. At the end of the update process, "Update successful" should be displayed or prompted.
- Wait until the Parrot MKi restarts.
> To make sure the software update is correctly installed, select Settings > Advanced settings > Information.

| RKi8400 software updates download |

The Parrot RKi8400 software update can be performed using a USB flash drive.

- Plug the USB drive into your PC.
- Create a new folder in the root of your USB drive.
- Rename this folder as ParrotUp.
- Click here to download the update file and save the downloaded file in
the ParrotUp folder.
- Rename the downloaded file as RKi8400.plf.
> You should now have in the root of your USB flash drive:
F:/ParrotUp/RKi8400.plf.
> You can now get in your vehicle to install the update file.

Installing the update file |
- Plug your USB flash drive into the USB connector.
- Start your Parrot RKi8400 and select Settings > Advanced settings >
Update.
>The "Starting update"message is displayed.
- Wait until the Parrot RKi8400 reboots.
- The update file installation starts automatically. Wait for approximately 4 minutes.
>To make sure the software update is correctly installed, select Settings > Advanced settings > Information.

| Check the latest available versions |
|
|
|
Make sure you have the latest software update on your Parrot product. To do so:
- select Settings > Advanced settings > Information if you have a Parrot MKi,
- select Settings > Information if you have a Parrot CK3100 or CK3200 LS,
- check the Bluetooth name of your device (displayed on your phone) if there is no screen on your car kit.
You must have the same version than the one indicated below.

| Parrot VCF Creator |
|
|
|
The Parrot VCF Creator software allows you to generate the Parrot.vcf file, which contains the list of contacts from your Outlook application. Once this file is generated, you only have to send it to your hands-free kit.
