Parrot UNIKA
Unika

UNIKA is a universal interface that allows you to control the Parrot MKi / RKi8400 directly with the OEM steering wheel commands.

Parrot Certified Installer

Select your hands free system and all the necessary information concerning your vehicle.

Before you begin:

Checking the software version,
(MKi9000 - MKi9100 - MKi9200):

Make sure you have the latest software update on your Parrot MKi. To do so, select Settings > Advanced settings > Information. You must have the same version than the one indicated in the Latest available version section.
If it is not the case, update your Parrot MKi using the Parrot Software Update Tool.

Warning - (MKi9100):

If you want to use the Parrot UNIKA with a Parrot MKi9100, check the version of your screen. To do so, select Settings > Advanced settings > Information. You must have the 3.1 version.
If it is not the case, contact your dealer for a free replacement.

Installing the Parrot UNIKA:

Use the database to check wether the Parrot UNIKA is compatible with your vehicle. If it is the case, you will get all the necessary information concerning the Parrot UNIKA installation.


Software update :

The Parrot Unika software is updated at the same time than the software of your Parrot MKi if the following conditions are fulfilled:
  • at least version 1.80 must be installed on your Parrot MKi
  • you must have at least version 14 on your Parrot Unika.
    To check the software version of your Parrot Unika,
    select Settings > Advanced settings > Informations on your Parrot MKi9200.
If these conditions are fulfilled, the Parrot Unika software update will be launched automatically after the Parrot MKi software update.

Once the Parrot UNIKA software update is installed, you need to press one button on your steering wheel.
This button is different depending on the mode of your Parrot Unika.
The mode of your Parrot Unika depends on the number of available buttons on your steering wheel: mode A -> 4 buttons ; mode B -> 5 buttons ; mode C -> 6 buttons ; mode D -> 7 buttons.

  • Mode A : you do not have to press any button.
  • Mode B : press the SOURCE button.
  • Mode C : press the pick-up button.
  • Mode D : press the hang-up button.

Navigation inversion :

In some cases it may be necessary to inverse the commands allowing to browse through the Parrot MKi9100 or Parrot MKi9200 submenus.
To do so, select Settings > Display > Navigation inversion on the Parrot MKi9200 or Settings > Navigation inversion on the Parrot MKi9100.
