Warning - Parrot MKi - Changing the language

Warning - MKi software updates / changing the language

You may lose several features (such as voice recognition) while changing the language of your Parrot MKi. In some cases, you will not be able to reinstall the previous version. Please read carefully the following information before changing the language of your Parrot MKi. The available languages can be sorted into 4 areas.

Area 1
Area 2
Area 3
Area 4

Changing the language from area 1 to area 3 is possible but you will lose several features definitely:
- You will not be able to make a call via voice recognition ;
- You will not be able to pick up / refuse a call via voice recognition ;
- MKi9100 and MKi9200 : no more speech synthesis of the names in the phonebook ;
- MKi9000 only: no phonebook synchronisation.
Please note that the loss of these features is permanent. You will not be able to reinstall the previous version and get the features back.
The following language changes are impossible:
- Area 1 to area 2 / Area 2 to area 1
- Area 3 to area 2 / Area 2 to area 3
- Area 1 & 3 to area 4 / Area 4 to area 1 & 3
A language change within the same area (Ex : english -> spanish) is possible. You will not lose any feature by doing so.
