You can use voice recognition to call your contacts by speaking their
name (speed-dialing), or to control some handsfree functions through
wordspotting features. Phones and handsfree systems use a
speaker-dependent technology that requires you to train the names and
commands prior to using them as voice-activated shortcuts. Easydrive
will record words twice to increase voice recognition accuracy.
To achieve best results with Easydrive's voice recognition:
Close doors and windows, turn off all sources of noise: engine, fans, radio
From the driver's seat, speak the names to train clearly, with a natural voice
Navigate through the menus until you reach "Awaiting a contact".
Enter this menu, the phone and the carkit disconnect, then send
the contact from the phone to the carkit using Bluetooth® (refer to
your phone's user guide or the Bluetooth phone Matrix).
Once the contact is received, the carkit will ask you to train the name.
Easydrive voice recognition: Training a name, your voice is
sampled and recorded for a maximum of 2 seconds from the time Easydrive
picks up initial signal. It is much better to provide the system with
longer names to process. For instance, training "John Smith" will yield
much better results than just "John".
