Thank you for purchasing Easydrive, an universal handsfree car kit plug'n'drive using the Bluetooth® wireless technology.
-> Plug'n'drive
Drivers plug the Easydrive into the cigar lighter and start the engine.
The kit is ready to go without any talk-time problems or needing any
time to recharge. Their Bluetooth® mobile phone automatically
connects to the Easydrive and enables them to make and receive all
their calls.
The plug'n'drive system lets you change from one vehicle to another.
Thanks to its small size, you can easily slip the Easydrive into your
pocket or bag.
-> The best sound quality is all yours !
The new speaker optimizes signal amplification and the acoustic output,
and provides perfect sound reproduction, enabling drivers to clearly
hear the caller.
A microphone built into the keypad means that the driver can talk
naturally without raising his voice. Conversations remain clear and
smooth, despite the noise particularly inherent in driving.
-> For the easy life and easy telephony
By intuitively turning the browser button, drivers can browse through the kit's menus and adjust the volume as required.
-> Make calls without taking your hands off the wheel
Thanks to the voice recognition feature, users say a name and the
Easydrive automatically dials the number without any need to take the
mobile phone out of their bag or pocket, which helps to cut down on
accidents and fines.
-> Take advantage of the universal Bluetooth solution
The Easydrive is compatible with all Bluetooth mobile phones on the
market. Nevertheless, the supported features depends on your phone.
Getting Started
Easydrive allows remote and handsfree operation of a variety of mobile
phones from major manufacturers - Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson,
Siemens - that all share the same Bluetooth® technology. The only requirement is for your Bluetooth®
wireless technology-enabled phone to support an audio profile - HEADSET
or HANDSFREE -, in order to open an audio channel with your handsfree
system.
Easydrive features
Easydrive runs a handsfree application software providing additional phone-dependent
features, which add to features supplied by the standard implementation of Bluetooth® wireless technology.
Standard features
A set of features that are built inside the Bluetooth® wireless technology protocol. Your phone can use either a Headset or hHndsfree Bluetooth® wireless technology profile to communicate with Easydrive.
The Handsfree profile is a much richer profile for the car kit application, supporting more features.
Advanced features
A set of features that are dependent on your phone model, its firmware
version, and the Easydrive software version. Refer to the topics
included in the Bluetooth® Phones section to see which are available with your phone.
Easydrive Software Upgrade
Why should I upgrade my handsfree software?
To access new functions developed after the purchase of your product
To make your handsfree compatible with new phone models
When you have upgraded your telephone software
About Bluetooth
Bluetooth® is a standardized wireless transmission
technology allowing information exchange between devices accordingly to
their profiles. A profile determines each device's capabilities and how
it can interact with others. Bluetooth® phones for instance
usually offer audio and file transfer profiles in order to open audio
channels to headsets and handsfree devices, or to provide internet
connectivity to a computer using a GPRS network.
Bluetooth® wireless technology uses short-range radio links
in the 2.4 GHz free band. The technology enables equipments to interact
within a radius of about ten meters, using very little energy.
User intervention is kept at a minimum. After initial pairing, Bluetooth® wireless technology connections are automatically established whenever devices are introduced into the network's realm.
One of the stated objectives of the Bluetooth® Consortium
of manufacturers is for the standard to become as ubiquitous as the
infrared port technology, with superior bandwidth, better range and
smarter built-in networking features.
