Voice Command - Select Voice Recognition
Information for the user
Recognition of the CK3x00 is more complete than that of telephones and functions in a noisy environment.
You can use voice recognition to call your contacts by speaking their name (speed-dialing), or to control some
handsfree functions through wordspotting features. Phones and handsfree systems use a speaker-dependent
technology that requires you to train the names and commands prior to using them as voice-activated shortcuts.
CK3x00 will record words twice to increase voice recognition accuracy.
You can either use the CK3x00 or the phone voice recognition:
- To use the phone voice recognition:
Turn ON the phone voice recognition to use the voice tags recorded in your phone.
- To use the car kit phone recognition (after a synchronisation, or Object Push):
Turn ON the car kit voice recognition to use the voice tags recorded in the CK3x00.
Depending on your phone model, voice recognition speed-dialing is performed either from the phone or from
CK3x00. In the first case, refer to your phone's manual for properly training names. To achieve best results
with CK3x00's voice recognition:
- Power up the CK3x00.
- Close doors and windows, turn off all sources of noise: engine, fans, radio.
- From the driver's seat, speak the names to train clearly, with a natural voice.
Note:
CK3x00 voice recognition: Training a name, your voice is sampled and recorded for a maximum of 2 seconds
from the time CK3x00 picks up initial signal. It is much better to provide the system with longer names to process.
For instance, training "John Smith" will yield much better results than just "John". |
