Your phone provides CK3x00 management and
settings from the Parrot LCD screen. Also refer to the Standard Features
section.
Automatic phonebook synchronization :
Note :If you installed a 4.1.x software version on your blackberry 7290, the phone's phonebook will be automatically synchronized to the kit's one
(don't create contacts groups otherwise your phone book won't be synchronized entirely).
Otherwise if you wish to send contacts to your car kit, you have to send your contacts from
the Blackberry 7290 to a Bluetooth laptop for example. Then you just
need to transfer your contacts from your other Bluetooth device to
your car kit.
General procedure:
Here is the procedure which allows to
send contacts from the Blackberry 7290
to the CK3100
(The test was made with the mailbox OUTLOOK )
STAGE
1:
1. First thing to do : pair the Blackberry with
the CK3100, and wait for the
connection.
2. Once the connection established between the
phone and the car kit, you have
to disconnect : SETTINGS / PAIRED DEVICES /
select Blackberry /
DISCONNECT.
STAGE 2:
1. You have to use a laptop with bluetooth ( I
use a laptop with a bluetooth
dongle BELKIN).
2. Launch a devices research.
3. Select the CK3100 and choose the option " Let
me choose my own security
key” and enter "1234"
Your laptop should now apear in the paired
devices of the CK3100.
STAGE 3 :
1. Install the software provided with the phone :
" Blackberry Desktop Manager "
2. Connect the USB cable provided ,from the phone
to the laptop.
3. A windows should be open ( If it is not the
case, go to Start / programs /
Blackberry ).
4. Select OPTIONS , and choose CONNECTION
SETTINGS.
5. Select DETECT, and once the research finished,
select OK.
6. On the main window, select INTELLISYNC, and
choose SYNCHRONIZE.
(Wait...)
Normally , the whole phonebook is send to OUTLOOK
( TOOL / PHONEBOOK ) as
Vcards ( format *.vcf)
STAGE 4 :
1. Choose the contacts to send and copy the
selected contacts in a file ( easier ).
2. Do a right click on the contact to send, an
select SEND TO / BLUETOOTH
DEVICE/ and then select CK3100.
STAGE 5 :
Once the contacts sent, reconnect the Blackberry
to the CK3100 ( SETTINGS /
PAIRED DEVICES / select le Blackberry / CONNECT )
---> Now the contacts sent should be linked
with the Blackberry.
NOTE: If the other bluetooth device was already paired just
start the procedure when you have to pair the Blackberry 7290
