Content installation instructions

Step 1 Disconnect the battery.

Before starting any installation please ensure that the battery has been disconnected in line with vehicle guidlines. Ensure that all codes required for reconnection of the battery are avaible (i.e. car radio, alarm, etc).

Step 2 Choose a suitable location for each item.

1/ Electronic control box.

2/ Microphone
The microphone should be directed towards the driver and should preferably be installed in between the visor and the inside rear-view mirror. Clean and dry the attachment surface. Remove the adhesive part of the Velcro tape and stick to the desired location. Now posistion the microphone on the Velcro tapewhich has just been stuck on.

3/ Command keypad
You are recommended to install it in a position with easy access. Clean and dry the attachment surface. Remove the protective plastic from the adhesive behind the command keypad and stick it.

Step 3 Connecting the parts.

Once the various parts are in possition, they can be connected together.

1/ Microphone.
Plug in the cable with the male mini-jack in the female mini-jack on the box.

2/ Command keypad
Connect the command keypad to the connector provided on the Audio cable (marked C on the diagram.

Step 4 Connecting the Audio cable and the power supply cable.

The Audio cable is equiped with black ISO connectors (marked A on the diagram).
The power cable is equiped with grey ISO connectors (marked B on the diagram).

1/ For a car radio with ISO socket.
Disconnect the car redio's speaker and power harnesses.
Connect the male connectors of the Audio cable and the power supply cable to the car radio.
Connect the vehicle's audio and power supply leads to the female connectors of the elctronic box.
If the car radio has a Mute input connect the yellow wire on the Mute cable to one of the Mute Inputs 1,2 or 3.

Step 5 Using an external amplifier.
Installing the car kit on a vehicle equipped with an external amplification system (Bose, JBL, Cabass, Monsoon...).

Note: Caution: the red wire on the power cable must be connected to th 12V permanent, the orange wire to the 12V switched and the black wire to the ground.
Check the electrical diagram of the car radio's ISO power harness .

On some vehicles, the positions of the red and orange wires must be inverted. This operation is carried out by simply inverting the fuse holders.

Do not connect the orange wire to the 12V permanent, you run the risk of discharging the battery of the vehicle.
Note: A specific adaptation needs to be made if your vehicle is originally equipped with an additional amplifier (booster).
Please contact the car manufacturer to know if your vehicle is equipped with an additional amplifier .
