Information for the user

You can use voice recognition to call your contacts by speaking their name (speed-dialing), or to control some handsfree functions through wordspotting features. Phones and handsfree systems use a speaker-dependent technology that requires you to train the names and commands prior to using them as voice-activated shortcuts. 3200LS Color will record words twice to increase voice recognition accuracy.

Depending on your phone model, voice recognition speed-dialing is performed either from the phone or from 3200LS. In the first case, refer to your phone's manual for properly training names.

Training a name, your voice is sampled and recorded for a maximum of 2 seconds from the time 3200LS picks up initial signal. It is much better to provide the system with longer names to process. For instance, training "Anna Smith" will yield much better results than just "Anna".
