Topic: Static on RECEIVING end using 3200 and iphone 3gs

I have a 3200 and an iphone 3gs in my 2006 Prius.

The bluethooth works flawlessly ON MY END.

But the people I talk to always report hearing significant static.  Actually, I did a little investigation and when I am sitting still at a stoplight, or in a parking lot, it seems fine on their end.  If I am accelerating or on the freeway -- horrible static on their end.

Ideas??? Help ??

It sounds like the mic cord may be pinched or damaged in some way. That is where I would start with.

I looked, don't think thats it.

Also, wouldn't explain why it is only static-y when the car is moving and not when its stopped.

Of course, I have put in a service request to Parrot, but zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. No reply.

Check to make sure that everything is plugged in all the way. It could be a faulty screen cable. I have seen that cause mic problems before.  If a adapter harness was used it could be a faulty harness picking up engine noise.

That is exactly why it happens when it moves. There is something internally damaged or loose. Vibration of the car when moving causes it to occur.

This is happening to me right now also. Had it in the car since June and was perfect till now.  Going to have to take it apart and check all the connections in the back.

Also call them. I talked to some one. They said if nothing is disconnected to call them back and they will provide a mic under warranty. I am hoping something is just loose in the back.  But I fear it may be the LCD as stated. Who knows.

Any one know how to test the mic?
