i have got the same problem. have you already solvd it ?
Same here. What is everyone's Treo network and software info? Here's mine:
Network: Cingular
Firmware: 01.28
Software: Treo650-1.13-ROW
3200 software version 2.01
You can get the firmware/software versions by going into the "phone" app and hitting MENU and the "I" key.

I'm only a few days into it, but the phone is remaining connected. The longest call I have made is probably 10-15 mins. The longest I've been in the car with the phone paired is probably ~1hr.
So problems on this so far. My 3200 us running 2.00.
My Treo 650 is a Cingular
FW: 1.51
SW: Treo650-1.17-CNG

I have noticed that even though it disconnects when not in use, it still reconnects when either a call is placed from the 3200 or when an incoming call is received. Seems to work fine like this, was able to make a 3 minute call with no problem (could've gone longer). Would prefer if it didn't disconnect, but I guess it's not a huge problem.
After testing, this appears to be normal with the Treo 650.
Seems to use headset profile and initially connects to perform sync, then stays disconnected until a call is setup.
It might actually be more useful than the permanent connection as the big limitation of the Treo 650 is that you cannot have GPS and handsfree simultaneously (limitation of Palm O/S).
However, with the 3400-LS it might be possible to use the GPS and have the handsfree function connect "on the fly".
As the 3400-LS is due in the next couple of weeks will be testing this as use a Treo 650 and the combination won't work on the CK3300.
I've been using it a week now and I get no disconnects at all. The 3200 continues to display phone name etc and the phone has the bluetooth symbol showing a connection. I spend two hrs per day commuting, so it has been probably well over 10 hours of being paired.
I wonder if the problem is that you have v2.01 on your 3200, or that you have older fw/sw on the treo?

I'm sure that's it. Since my Treo's an unlocked one, I have to wait until Palm releases the same update for my version.
3200-LS was V2.01.
Treo Firmware V1.21
Software Treo 650-1.09-OUK
If only we were blessed with a newer version - seems that Palm & Orange (UK) just can't be bothered to sort out the Bluetooth and other bugs in the Orange version.
Dear All,
The Treo disconnects the Bluetooth link after a few minutes, but it is not a problem. The Treo will connects the carkit if there is an incoming call... and the kit connects the Treo if you place an out going call.

Hello,
The Treo supports the Bluetooth handfree profile, but it disconnects the BT links a few minutes after each connection.
Only Palm and the operators are able to manage the differents ROM available, Parrot cant do more with the Treo.
Some of the ROM works perfectly, and other not at the same level.

We've got hundreds of Treo 650's out on CK3100 with our resellers/installers.
The main trick is that the phone no must not be longer than 20 digits else will freeze on synch.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
The Treo supports the Bluetooth handfree profile, but it disconnects the BT links a few minutes after each connection.
Not anymore it doesn't, Palm released a 1.20 firmware for the Gsm Treo and now it remains connected to the Parrot car kit, and works fine for receiving calls, but now the car kit can't make a call.
I have the same problem with my Treo 650 and de Parrot 3200.
I had it working (making calls by voice from the Parrot 3200) but than my Treo went down and I got a new one. From that time I have problems
When paring, the treo displays disconnect but is still connected. Incomming calls are recognized bij the parrot and I can use the carkit. Only when I want to make a call from the parrot it doesn't work.
Firmware palm treo 650-1.20-ENA
Firmware Parrot 3200 2.03C
Has anyone the same problem and how can I solves this problem?
Just a datapoint: the 3400LS-GPS and the Treo 650 CDMA (Telus Mobility in Canada) works pretty much flawlessly. The trick for sending all my contacts over to the Parrot works and the Parrot has *no* issues "grabbing" the call like some other headsets do. (the Treo 650 has a *fantastically* buggy BT stack.)
