the recently released Palm Treo 680 Smartphone works a on Parrot 3300 GPS system?

Doesn't really help with your question, but don't have a CK3300 to try the Treo 680 with.
Have just received a Treo 680 and tried it with the following kits:
CK3100 V4.16 - OK
3200LS V2.03 - OK
3400GPS V2.02 - Permanent Sync and phone crashes, requiring battery removal to re-start.
Treo 680 software version:
TREO680-1.04-ROW
It would appear that until V2.03 is released on the 3400GPS it is not compatible with the Treo 680.

Good to hear it works on 3100 and 3200. Gives hope for the other 3x00 then...
what doe you mean with:

i have a question- i use a tre680 with row1.04
i can connect my phone with the ck3100 vers. 4.16 and it works, but my adress book make some problems.
all my adresses are sort by the first name, anyway i do under settings sort by first name or by surename and
some names lost letters, e.g. the name bastian change in astian (without b) and is in the list of the adressbook to found under a.
by some names the parrot change some letters in 3/4 looks like 3/4ernd instead of Bernd.
in hope that someone can slove my problems

Have tried this on a CK3100 / Treo 680 and the Sort Order does not change whether set to First Name, Last Name or vice versa. Kit is setup for English, though have also tried in French - no difference.
Do you have any accented characters in your phone book ? What language ?

my language is german and if i understand you right you have the same problem with the sort Order- i want sort by surename but it doesen´t work and at
a lot of names the parrot lost the first letter or change the letter in 3/4.
By my treo 650 it works fine.
With accented characters you mean something like ü or ä ? - no i have not- it happens only by the first letter - sometimes with a, b, and so on. by some names it
works, by some not.

I have same issue with czech characters. Names without them work ok, but those with czech characters have first letter missing and czech characters scrambled even with czech parrot firmware. I had no chance to try this with Treo 650, but I had no issues with SE T630 before.
Contacts are also displayed/ordered in first name surname form 
I can live without czech characters (they always cause troubles 
) ), but the sorting is painfull for me. I don't want to have first and last names swapped in treo, because the build-in phone contacts can't sort by first name.
Any suggestions?

Btw. Have you managet to get automatic sync to work? I had to use object push. Nice feature on treo would be selection of categories that work for automatic sync. That shouldn't be difficult if they can sync SIM card and quicklist.

sorry, i´ve accented characters in my problems entries but not in the first name which is it sort by but in the sure name and these are displayed right.
looks like aik Müller - instead of Maik Müller => the accented character is in the sure name, the problems in the first name.

The automatic synchronization of windows mobile does sort the numbers by first name/last name, this is unfortunately due to the AT sync commandswhich send the contact in one full name. The only thing you can do is to enter the name and first name of your contact in the field first name of your phone.
Treo is not windows mobile, but Palm OS device (Palm OS 5.4.9)

thats right is Palm OS and what me make wondering is that with the old treo650 everything works (without automatic synchronization).
The new treo680 make the problems with the characters and the sort order .
Will try the sort order on a 650.
The phonebook problems are going to be due to the extended characters required for German, Czech, French, etc... i.e. âéèàü
This is almost certainly due to English character set only requiring 1 byte and extended character set requires 2 bytes.
Have tried sending a Vcard to another phone, so this would seem to be incorrect handling of the extended character set on the CK3100 when using the Treo 680
