CK3100 will not release audio

After making a call (initiated or received) the carkit will not release the audio to return to CD or radio.

The CK3100 has worked absolutely fine in my wife's car (Citroen Xsara Picasso 2005) for over a year now. Prior to that it also worked flawlessly in my Saab 9-3 convertible. Ever since I updated to the latest firmware, about a two months ago (first 4.19 now 4.20), the CK3100 does not release the audio and keeps it muted! The only option is to switch off engine completely! This is obviously NOT the way a hands free system should work.

The Bluetooth part and sync work just fine and it happens with different phones.
Primary phone: Samsung Omnia
Also tried with HTC Touch HD

I have already mentioned this on the US forum, but no Parrot response, another user has the same issue. Anybody any suggestions?

Accept call with green button on phone not possible?

I always have my phone in a holder wich is easy reachable. So I am used to accept calls with the green button on my phone instead of the green button on the remote of the MKi9200. Unfortunately this is a problem with this carkit. When I do so the call is not being tranferred through the carkit (car speakers) and the carkit keeps ringing. But the connection with the caller is made. So I can talk to them on the phone but not through the carkit. Is this problem solvable?

1.22 feedback for Mki9100

Hi,

Just adding some feedback on v1.22 firmware.

I did report this to Parat Technical (at v1.14) , and they said it would be fixed in a later release.

While playing USB, if Bluetooth audio kicks in (ie my satnav on phone), it pauses the music and streams the bluetooth auso correctly. When the BT audio finishes it correctly switches back to the USB stick. BUT the forward and reverse graphics at the top of the screen dissapear; the volume cannot be changed and you cannot fast forward or rewind tracks etc. The only way to cure is to press pause, then press again to restart the music; the FF and RW graphics come back and then everything works fine.

Will this get fixed?

1 year old, and its nearly what it should have been like at release

Any more people annoyed with the 'the' problem? Take action?

As some of you know the 'the' problem exists already since the mki range exist. I mentioned the problem a few times already to the people of parrot, like last week again. Please see their feedback, it's terrible.

If there are more people that are annoyed with this problem, can you please reply here? Maybe we can 'join' to wake up the service/software team?

definition of the 'the' problem I sent to parrot:

The 'the' problem is that when, for example i want to select a band starting with the letter 'p' of 'prodigy'. I can scrol down my whole list using the turning button, but this takes a long time because i got a 120gb ipod connected with lots of artists. Parrot build in a function to scrol down more easily, by pressing the 'forward' button. This is meant to skip from a to b to c,d,e, and so on.

But... when I have let's say 6 artist starting with an 'b', like:

'bad religion'
'the bastard fairies'
'beastie boys'
'the beatles'
'beck'
'the black eyed peas'

the parrot doesn't skip from a to b to c, the parrot skips from a to b(ad religion) to t(he bastard fairies) to b(eastie boys) to t(he beatles) to b(eck) to t(he black eyed peas) to c to d,e,f .... so i need to press 6 times to come from 'b' to 'c'.

So, when I need to be to go to an artist starting with a 'p' I'm still busy with pushing the 'forward' button when I'm arriving at my destination.... if you understand what I mean.

The answer of the parrot people:

Hello,

Thank you for the precision.

As of now there are no forecast for changing this browsing mode on the car kit.

Mki9200/Unika/Golf VI - controls not working

Hello,

I have a brand new Golf 2010 Highline, with the new 12-button multi funcion steering wheel and the VW RCD510 head unit. A proffessional installed the Parrot Mki9200 and the Unika in the car before I got it. He followed the instructions given by Parrot step by step, and said that everything seemed to be installed as it should. The Unika first gave a blinking red light, followed by a constant green light.

The Mki9200 is working perfectly, but the Unika isn't. I can't use the controls on the steering wheel to control the Parrot. I have tried all sorts of combinations to activate it, but nothing happens. If I try to push the button sequence stated in the instructions (Next/Prev/Next/Prev), it just changes the radio channel on my car stereo.

Any suggestions? I haven't got access to the bluebox and the Unika, as they are installed in the dashboard. I have been inside the dashboard on other cars, but I don't know how to get inside on the Golf, and honestly I don't want to - beeing a brand new and very nice car.
