Canada, Ontario: hand-held cellphone banned when driving

Toronto, April 22 2009: with Bill 118, Ontario joins Quebec and Nova Scotia in the fight against distraction at the wheel. These provinces in Canada work to ban drivers from using hand-held cellphones. Only hands-free in-car devices and Bluetooth headsets are allowed.
Fun fact, Quebec earned about $500000 on fines to drivers in 2008: a powerful incentive to buy a Bluetooth hands free car kit, according to United Press International!
For Ontarian drivers who want to comply with the law, reduce driver distractions and stay reachable in the car, Parrot offers the largest range of Bluetooth hands free solutions on the market.
There are a number of hands free solutions out there, but some aren’t as “hands-free” as others. Only true voice-activated devices keeps hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, thus avoiding all manipulation-related dangers. Sound quality is also crucial, because to hear and be heard is what it’s all about.
Parrot hands free systems and car kits are sold through at Bell Canada, Rogers and other retailers in Canada and online on Parrotshopping Canada.
Estimated fines would be up to CAN$500 if caught when talking, e-mailing or sending text messages. If other people are in danger, fine would reach CAN$1,000, six license points, driver’s license suspended and maybe even do time in jail!
I have a Parrot system in my car which worked well when I had a Blackberry with voice recognition. I now have an IPhone which does not have voice recognition. It still works well for incoming calls but I have to manually dial outgoing calls. I believe this would violate the new Ontario law when it takes effect. Do you have a solution for this?

Your iPhone doesn’t have built in VR like your blackberry did. You’ll need to use the Parrot Vr. on the CK series this means recording voice tags, on the MKi that means just switching the settings and letting the French British lady talk
I’ve used Parrot VR all the time I’ve had MK6100 installed in my car. Now I have MKi9200 and I can’t use VR anymore, because there is no Russian language support for MKi devices yet. When will it be available?
