Renault selects Parrot hands-free technology for integrated Bluetooth car kit
In a strategic partnership, Renault, the French car manufacturer partner of NISSAN, has chosen to work closely with Parrot to helps drivers keep their mobile phones in their pocket when they are on the road.
Parrot will provide the Bluetooth kit to be integrated directly into the vehicle. This Bluetooth hands-free car kit technology will be factory-installed across the entire Renault range, beginning with the Renault Mégane, one of the top-selling cars in Europe.
The Renault-Parrot handsfree kit – codenamed CML TB – will allow phonebook, call logs and contact details to be displayed on the built-in dashboard screen. It also features automatic safety call-hold function with which the driver can put callers on hold until they are ready to safely answer the call.
